Dates for the 2018 group rally

Do you have enhanced driver licenses in Maine? They were considering it back when I did the research for one of our other rallies.
You can get into Canada with one and they are cheaper than a passport.
Somewhere on here there is a write up on the research I did on the subject.

US Citizens entering Canada info
Any one entering Canada for our North East US / Eastern Canada Regional rally will need one of the following documents. Without it you will not be allowed to cross the border into Canada from the United States.

The following documents may be satisfactory evidence of United States (U.S.) citizenship:

• A valid U.S. passport, U.S. passport card, or a Certificate of Citizenship and Naturalization are considered primary evidence and are acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship.
• The Enhanced Drivers License (EDL) and Enhanced Identification Card (EIC) (non-drivers) are alternative travel documents denoting the holder's identity and citizenship and are acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship when entering from the U.S. through land and marine ports of entry only.
• An original U.S. birth certificate, when accompanied by a valid government issued photo identification document, is considered an indicator and may be an acceptable proof of U.S. citizenship.

A passport is the preferred document but an Enhanced Drivers License is cheaper to obtain.

HOWEVER, there are only 5 states now offering Enhanced Drivers Licenses,

• Michigan
• New York
• Washington
• Vermont
• Connecticut

States considering implementing an Enhanced Driver Licenses include:

• Arizona
• Idaho
• Maine
• Minnesota
• New Hampshire
• New Mexico
• North Dakota
• Texas

You should also be aware that no firearms are allowed to be taken in to Canada.
If you normally carry, you will have to leave your weapon home.

Tim thanks for the link! As of now Maine does not have the New License BUT will be going soon(they may have already( Good to know that the new license will let me drive to Canada w/o a Pass Port :) I do plan on fishing in Canada so that will make less stuff to bring along! As for the Pass Port I still have to get the PP book for flying! The PP Card or license will not let me fly to Mexico!I have ti go to Mexico as my daughter is getting married there :O

Thanks for the link! I should have my papers from Ct. in a week or 2 so I should have my Pass Port by January

Sorry for the long wait on finalizing the date everyone. We were hoping to announce a date and hotel at the same time but as you might imagine most motels in a summertime tourist area are closed and getting info is slow. Tom Tim and I have therefore decide to go ahead with the date so folks can plan vacation time and some route planning. We will finalize the hotel and give details of that in the near future. The rally dates will be July 16th to July 20th in Baddeck Nova Scotia. Check in on Monday, check out on Friday as usual.

WAITING on my Passport and Passport card . SO another hurdle passed :) Still not 100% as I am waiting to see the exact dates I am going to Mexico in July!

I have a new line of Thongs for 2018 Fish Net,Camo , Chrome, SHOCKING PINK Chrome and my new clear thing so I will do a show
