Touch choice. I know I like the all touch screen on my Nuvi. I am looking hard at the Zumo 660, seems to be basically a MC friendly version of the one I have.

I just looked up the 660......$799.00 is what I saw......of course it is new.

I think I'll keep my 550 a little longer.

It is pricey that is for sure. If you are going new though in Canada it is only $50 more for the 660 over the 550 at retail ($899 for the 660 and $857 for the 550). May be able to find a better deal on a 550 though than that increasing the spread.

Would love to upgrade, but I think my Nuvi 760 will have to do for this year. :)

On the Garmin site the Zumo 660 is listed as $799.99 and the Zumo 550 is listed at $899.99

Why would the newer one be cheaper than the 550 ??? Typo?

GPSonSale has the Zumo 550 for $639.99.

Edit;
On Garmin site with my AMA discount it is still $674.99 for the 550.
No listing for the 660.
The seller on Ebay says Garmin will statr shipping the 660 July 7 and he is selling for $799.99.
I'm pretty sure lane assist is not worth $160 to me. ::)

Strange, I would say that is a typo, I have been watching the 660 pricing for a few months now and have never seen it at a retail location (pre-release price) cheaper than the 550. Would be nice if it was though. :)

How much does it cost to strap a fairing on the handlebars. ;) A GPS is cheap by comparison.

My fairing was only $300....

Oh wait, then I needed steel for the brackets, a bunch of chrome bolts, a windshield, gauges, a stereo, headlight, more pieces.... then I need it painted....

Good point :)

The GPS I strap to my bars was $200, has a big screen, top of the line and it does everything including blue tooth, and what's a fairing got to do with GPS's? ??? ??? ??? ???

I bought a Quest II refurbished on ebay. I wanted to try on at a reasonable price before I paid a lot of money for an expensive one. We are going a a couple of week long rides this summer and thought it would be a good backup to a map or the other way around. Looking forward to Custer.

I would like to know what you have for a GPS.
GPS has nothing to do with a fairing. I was making a comparison of things "straped to the bars" althoug niether is really straped to the bars.

For $200 you can easily find a Nuvi 750 for example. I have the 760 which is very similar, and a decent GPS, but the bluetooth is terrible. Having it would not keep me from upgrading to a Zumo model though. The Zumo has too many features that would be great, a more readable screen in bright conditions being one, integration into intercom systems, operation with gloves on (is doable on the 760 I have, but not all functions).

I got the 760 to see if I would use the GPS, now that I know I will, a Zumo is in the plans, maybe not until next year.

TomTom GO 920; the place I got it went up about $40 since Christmas, but there are still google stores that have them for under $200. :-/
