What other bikes were you considering vs Nomad? - Page 4

Yami RoadStar; Yami Stratoliner; Honda vtx1800; HD RoadKing or ElectraGlide. Came d**n close on the RoadStar. Saw 2 used Strat's, one was an exceptional bike but too $$$ even used; and the HD's were, of course, realistically out of my price range (even used!).

I am very pleased with my decision. If money were no object though, I'd be on that one Strat... man it was decked out and sweet!

My first bike when getting back to riding was a 1997 1500A. Loved it. After a couple of years and deciding that for the long haul I may want another bike. Was really only looking at a Nomad but did glance at some other bikes. None really fit right except the Nomad. Bought a 1999 and upgraded to a 2006.

I looked at & rode just about everything out there, and it came down to the Nomad and the Victory in 02, and it came down to the wife who liked the look and ride of the Nomad more.
So we bought our 1st Nomad. Then in 07 I still liked the Victory Kingpin Tour which has a killer engine and handles very well but don't quite measure up to the "Nomad Ride" and then the Kawasaki dealer makes me an offer I can't refuse so we now have an 07 Nomad. But I still love the Victory. (maybe someday) I'm not very big 5'9" 190 but as has been said by many I tried the Goldwing and loved the handling and ride but really felt cramped. I guess I could get used to it, but for a diff. in price of $10,000 why bother trying?

Considered the Road King but reviews favored the Nomad, plus I had ridden the Nomad for a week and liked it. It is a 'screamin' value when compared to the Harley...

after the test rides it was the nomad for style-comfort and $$$ the best all around deal. my wife said no to the wing for now something about not being old enough LOL.

Researched Road King and Road Star. Nomad won a test of all 3 in Motorcycle Cruiser magazine, and my wife liked it the best of all 3 too.
