I have received a few questions lately about the stance on my bike so I will repost this to make it easier to find. Things I have done. Lowered the front,21 inche wheel, mini apes, removed blinkers front and back, license plate relocation, modified rear bag reflectors, pcv with auto tune, freedom performance true duals, Made rear lowering links that you can get from Luverne Kawasaki, made tank bra and sell on eBay, and made Pendelton whisky plugs for front axle covers. I has been fun doing all these mods thanks to friends, Luverne Kawasaki, Budweiser and Pendelton whiskey..ride safe everyone

Trrust32 yours is the first candy plasma blue 2012 I have seen with the 21 inch hoop upfront and color matching fender....looks really nice put together like that...a real eye catcher for sure.

BTW- I did not lower my front with the 21. Really like the ride and feel, especially with the RT bars. Made my own lexan windshield- didn't care for the clockwerks shield.

My 2015 Vaquero -

My 2015 Charcoal Cowboy. Freedom pipes with RT air cleaner and RT floor boards plus a mini-mini set of Burly apes ( experimental set at RT ). PC - V with Autotune plus I just installed the Dynojet POD -300. we used a 2011 Vulcan map and it ran ok and was going to bring to dyno - couldn't wait so I got Autotune and very happy with it. I have talked to Chris at DJ and he recommended to switch to a gear selected map so that it would have better map selection. That's my next thing to tweak. The POD 300 will data log for more fine tuning and give you actual AFR while driving. I actually bought it for my ZX14 dragbike but I can test on the 1700. I was driving back from a bike night and had some 103 HDs wanting to race and ate them all up. I also have a RF amp and Kicker speakers to go with the I Pod adapter. Custom modified windscreen to clear bars - I think the stock one looks nice but wind noise is awful. I also added a second set of Kickers in pods just below fairing. I actually used to work in RT CNC Machine shop and was around when Bobby built the RT vaquero. It had a monster sounds system with big sub woofers in the bags. They used my bike last fall to get some specs as PM doesn't make a wheel for the ABS plus needed specs on brake fittings for kit that comes with burly bars. I had to help design and machine the backing plate for the air cleaner and we used the PM top until we designed our own. That air cleaner flows a lot of air so a PC off the internet map won't be perfect. Now I want to lower even though I am 6 ft. This bike does sit high. I also want to change out the directionals and found some nice black ones and would like to make a rear bar to get rid of the stockers. |

The ski boats down here in Fla have a ton on the overhead bar cranking http://www.kicker.com/power-sports-audio Now kicker has a biker powersports line - with amps good sound - I had to bridge the amp because it was 2 ch. At red ights its pretty annoying to the cars. I turned off the AVC because the amp guys say it messes up the amp. So I'm always turning it down. No distortion. I really would like a small sub woofer somehow but I haven't figured that out yet unless I want to lose bag space. - I really wanted the second set in bags but the sounds goes behind you that way but its a cleaner setup. the HD'S have that top lid kits so its an easy install. Bob at RT is trying to make a kit for top of Vulcan or Vaquero bags but I came up with this idea. they come with clamps so I had them on the crash bars first but then made brackets to make it cleaner. |

When you installed the RT bars, did you have to extend the clutch cable?
