Good morning, the snow and freezing rain turned to rain and then back to freezing rain and sleet last night with high winds 50-55 mph. lot of power outages around and everything is frozen up. The weather man has stopped trying to discribe all this, and just calls it a winter storm warning.

I guess it is what ever you get used to. We can't ride the bikes, but lots of folks around here do winter time activities that make up for it. Myself included.

I still can't believe how some people freak out when the weatherman (sorry...weatherPERSON) calls for an inch or two of snow. They're calling for that today and 10 people called off. I'll call off when my 4 wheel drive won't make it out of the driveway.

Good Morning; 26 and cloudy, Its warmed up again here, I rarely ever don't make it in to work regardless of the snow. We get snow days sometimes, thats were they call us prior to our shift and tell us to stay home. The last two snow days I made it in to work before they phoned me. When I arrived they sent me home.

No chance of that happening at my job. Even when the county/state states it's a "Snow Emergency" (emergency vehicles ONLY on the roads), we're still required to come in to work. If you don't have sick/personal time on the books, you'll be hit for an Unauthorized Leave. Just the nature of the business.
