I'm sorry to hear this, it's a shame to have to cancel. As it turns out, I wouldn't have been able to attend either. Found out yesterday that I am having a surgical procedure that will keep me out of the saddle for a few months. The good news is, I should be back on two feet after and able to ride again.

Maybe next year?

Greg and Mike,

I can see some frustration in this discussion as to why not very many people had made the commitment to attend. My question for you, why not hold it anyway for those that are committed? Just talk with the hotel and see if they are willing to make changes.

Some of the best times have been the smaller rallies.

Thanks Greg. I'll hit you up closer to time. Love to have the local knowledge of good routes. I'll call hotel and ask about the rates. It looks like it is 122 on Hotels.com for those nights.

Smaller rallies can be a blast.

I, too, am disappointed and surprised to see the rally cancelled. Especially so far out. I do appreciate all the work that has gone in to it, thanks guys! I had planned on coming but had not yet made a reservation and apologize for not having done so. I also know of a few more that would have come except as mentioned by Tom, school isn't out yet at the time planned for the rally.

Once again, thanks to Gibby and Ray for their efforts I hope to see you on the road again someday.

On a related note, if anyone is ever planning to come to the Black Hills, please contact me for information or to share a ride.

I am disappointed to hear about this cancelation. I live in Wisconsin and would of been great to attend.

I do however, understand that the lack of reservations can damper making efforts to hold such a thing. If anyone in the Wisconsin area would like to have a little meet this summer, be sure to chime in. I would love to get together!

I was told by text to check the forum about the rally. I am sorry to hear that it was canceled and that it's disturbing that some of the local members can't make it. There are reasons why some can not attend every rally.
1- We are expecting our first grandchild in May.
2- I took a new job and vacation time is very limited.
3- I am diagnosed with cancer. My next appointment is in May. If it doesn't go the way the doctors think, I will have to do radiation 5 times a week for 8 weeks.
Sorry you find this disturbing.

I went to book my room and found the rally canceled. I'm sorry to hear this. I was looking forword to seeing everyone. I've had the vacation time scheduled for a while but had to wait for some family issues to shake out before I could commit. If there is get together at that time I would be interested.

I too am very sorry this event has been cancelled. While I haven't made a reservation I 100% totally planned to attend. Was kinda waiting to see if couple others would join.

Others that I know that are seriously considering it are; Cliff (vulcanE) and Diana, Coach, Jesse and possibly Kawhead.

Hell, I'm still planning to head that way....and way up to Mac Bridge and down thru MI and OH.

Anybody want to join in?

I would not have been able to attend, anyway, but small rallies can be a blast. I have been to several put on other other groups and the "rally that wasn't a rally" in Bedeck NS last year was great.

You don't always have to have a big meet & greet/close out dinner. Just getting together for socializing, meals, rides, and maybe some general site seeing can make for a great week.

I hate hearing this. I've attended every rally, national and regional since 08. Every one of freaking BLAST! Of course it's the people and comradery but we've got to travel all over the country.

This year due to my stepmom being diagnosed with cancer and starting treatmentswe just couldn't make it.

It may be to late, but I wish the rally would carry on. It's about the quality and not necessarily quantity.

The location is perfect and even though it's cancelled I wish I had time for it.

This is still a good group and I miss every one of you!
