I would guess that is it. Air injection...It's an easy fix, but depending on where you live, it may have to be enabled when getting an emissions test, not to mention being out of compliance. More states are starting to use California type standards in emissions, which means sniffer tests. I am surprised that more bike manufacturers just don't make their bikes 50 state compliant. It would be easier that way.

I dunno Ponch, some states are just doing away with inspections at all. I wish NH was, but the gold is too good to let go of here for the DMV. When bikes get OBD II they will be doomed to testing in NH then..
Hey if Govt can't take the fun out of a thing, what good is Govt then?

Funny how none of this applies to home and office building heating.... They say in a few more years apx 2020 vehicles must get 55mpg's. I don't see it with todays fuels.
But not much will be a problem for me in 2020, as i'ld be lucky to know my name, if i am wastin' air on this side of the grass at all.

Actually last winter was pretty mild, this winter I don't have to worry about shovelling snow, because of my service caused disabilities, the Veterans Affairs have been kind enough to enter me into what is called the VIP program, they pay to have someone shovel the snow, cut the grass, and do the housework, all with set monetary limits of course, but I can live with that.

Lets just say Cdn gives up plowing because the waste gasses are too bad of a enviro problem? So nothing is plowed and no one goes to work. You think yer still gettin' shoveled out? I don't think so.
