CJ,
I did notice you limping a bit at Orofino but didn't think too much of it. I am type 2 diabetic as well (diagnosed 10 years ago) and have to confess that I have let my guard down and don't pay as much attention to my feet as I used to. Thanks for the reminder that one has to be vigilant and maintain their health.

Glad to hear that you are on the mend. Take care and wishes for a full recovery.

Your trying to make this a long and drawn out ordeal like Krystal did.

Update!!

Well, it's been since July 29 of last year that I last rode my bike or wore a shoe on my right foot. I have been wearing a medical boot for a couple of reasons: 2 foot surgeries and 3 broken bones. The fractures have healed and the original wound is looking much better. It's still not fully healed, but it's making sufficient progress that last Thursday my foot doctor told me to put the boot away and start wearing a shoe again. I still have a fairly bulky dressing on the wound, but I can wear a shoe again. The increased mobility is great. Just in time for moving to our new house, and driving is a lot easier. Technically, I could probably ride right now, but I am trying to get a little more motion in my ankle before I attempt it. It got kind of stiff from non-use over the past several months.

I plan to ride the bike to our new home when we move. I'll need to go fill it up first, as it's still on near-empty since I returned home from Orofino.

That's good news. I was wondering if you would be able to get on the bike this year.
