Concealed Carry on Bike
I've heard of that stuff happening a lot in border states from gangs. Glenn Beck covered it. I am glad they got her back. As for me, I used to have a CC in NY, but since moving to Iowa I have not applied for one. My small arm of choice is the 1911. If you need more than 7 shots, you are in deep doo doo.

I have a .444 Marlin. Do you think that would work? :)

Concealed Carry on Bike
I haven't shot a weapon since high school...other than the water guns at the fair. I have often thought of taking a concealed course. I just don't know. My sister was a cop for 20+ years, she still has a weapon that she carries.

Concealed Carry on Bike
I had planned to carry my 9mm in my saddlebags for my summer trips, but after reading this thread I will carry on my body and pack away in the states who don't have reciprocating concealed carry laws with NC.

I am glad to hear that you were prepared and saved yourself...interestingly enough, you wont see a full page , front page story touting the merits of concealed carry because of incidents just like yours...imagine that... Every story like that should be front page news so the idiots like the waste of oxygen that threatened your life will think twice.

True that Todd. I've done 8 months in Afganistan and two 14 month long tours in Iraq. I don't hesitate to squeeze the trigger with some good weapon control. I want my shots to go where I'm aiming. That being said...if my memory serves me right, I shot the first round almost immediately out of the holster, the 2nd half way level to my chest and the 3rd with both hands on the weapon with a good grip. It felt like an eternity from cutting the weapon to the 3rd shot but I'm sure it was fast. Practice practice practice...

TC,
I never shoot fellow riders....unless they are on crochrockets and wanna showboat around me. Isn't that considered disrespectful?

From a Viet Vet. Just remember. If you pull the trigger you live with the results FOREVER! Be careful. I'm a NRA member and card carrying second amendment supporter but make sure you can live with the results.

Note to all KawaNow, if you want a truck, buy your own, don't try to take Cabby's. Hell, I won't even ask to borrow yours. lol
My wife and I have always said we should carry paintball guns to fire at cagers who act stupid. After a certain number of shots, you lose your license and car for a specific period of time so they learn how to behave on the road.
