Okay....I know I have said this before....but I mean it this time (I think... ::)). I am done with my winter mods and ready to roll for this spring ! After getting my Tour Pack mounted and modded up, it was time for a few last items.

First I added a Powerlet auxilliary power outlet to the handlebar (wired to the battery)....

Next I ponied up the $$$ for a Garmin Zumo 550 GPS and mounted it on the left handlebar where I can easily reach it in a fully reclined position without having to lean forward. It is hard-wired to a switched power source in the headlight bucket. An added bonus is that my left eye is my best one, so it is in a good viewing position....

I then picked up one of those kits to lower and tilt the passenger floorboards. Ya gotta throw the wife a bone every now and then ... ;)....

Lastly, though no photos to go with it, I added a K&N stock replacement filter and a Dynojet Power Commander III fuel processor! I was quite impressed with the added overall power, especially the roll-on power at high speed. It now goes from 55 to 85 in the blink of an eye!

So there you have it guys and gals...my pimped out 2008 Blue/Silver Nomad is loaded, loud and ready to rock! I think I single-handedly kept our US economy from going completely under this winter . Now the wife is on full "Mod Alert" after she scanned through the check register recently... !

It's all good though and I have everyone here to thank for all of your great ideas and suggestions! None of what I have done to my bike (it is a long list) since I bought in new last year would have been possible without your help and inspiration. My pocketbook would have been better off had I never heard of you guys...but that's another story.... ....

I'm looking very forward to meeting many of you in Custer this June and riding with a few local members around here as well. Thanks again Trip for such a great site and forum!

Would you believe it started to snow 2 hours after that photo was taken? Had they not been calling for it I would have been riding! Damn I'm ready for spring/summer.....

Caper;

Its a company that makes a few different models of the outlet for bikes.

They look great... and they have one model that has the ball on it to mount the GPS or accessory mount.

Oh yeah... I forgot... NICE JOB ON THE BIKE "Net"!!!!!!

Borto,
The Mustang seat is really nice. There are no words to describe how nice and solid that backrest feels. Once you have one...you'll wonder how you ever did without!! The wife says she has plenty of room, that the backrest is not a problem for her. As for height, it has a lot of adjustment, but I prefer it in the lowest position. It really helps support my lower back. With the Phat II risers, Hwy pegs and the backrest...I'm in real danger of falling asleep on a long ride! Thank God for the V&H Baggers to keep me alert!

I see you're still in denial...

Just repeat after me, "Hi, my name is Kris, and I'm a moddaholic."

I like that power outlet you put on. After I put the Aeromach risers on mine, the power outlet moves on the bars and it's seriously bugging me. I may look into one like you have. Looks good.

By the by, where did you obtain your tank bra? Ann's been looking for them and can't find them.. have link, perchance?

That's a darn fine lookin' road couch ya got there Kris. Congrats!

Taranis,
The tank bra is a custom job by Franks Leather Products.

http://www.franksleatherproducts.com/

Frank first made one for Valdez....then I asked him to make me one too. Had it in a week or so....I wanna say it was about $150.00, but super high quality and Frank is a straight up guy to deal with.

I forget what Valdez called it....but it is a cross between a tank bib and tank bra. Just ask Frank about it...I'm sure he will remember. Better yet....send him that photo of mine.
