Harley friends
Had a good ride today and one of my friends rode my new Voyager and he kept talking about how smooth it rode and he loved that 6th gear. Liking Voyager more and more just hope it will hold up like my Honda's always have.

So if he rode your voyager, did you ride his harley? (I assume it a harley/ thread title). And if so what did you think of it?

In all honesty his bike was not near as comfortable in ride or power and I was glad to get back on Voyager. His bike is bagger but old enough to be 5 speed. My trouble is I like most all brands they all have ups and downs. The Voyager I dislike heat , locks on bags and height with Mustang seat.

My recollection in riding both is that the Voyager wasn't any smoother except at idle and the 96" HD was just as quick as the 103" on the Voyager. The biggest difference was price, but the HD had better fit and finish. I didn't buy either, but it all depends on what you want. If you are a high mileage rider, I would say get the Voyager.

I rode a voyager and an Electra Glide Classic about 30 minutes apart a few years ago. They both felt a lot like the same bike. Not as much plastic on the harley, though.

Most all bikes have some good and bad Harley are great but high in price Voyager cheaper but not the finish of Harley and not near the trade in value. I had a Honda VTX 1800 and it had great power and torque. I would love to have one of each.

I think a less bias evaluation would be if you were not the owner of either bike nor familiar with riding one or the other. In all bikes there is a certain comfort in what you are used to riding and getting on another bike will feel foreign and strange for a while.
Most times when I trade bikes with someone while I can appreciate certain differences I am happy to get back what I am used to riding.

After the heat and the rain, I am just happy to ride. I had a beautiful ride into work today!

The Harley's I have tried are cramped and I don't have much room. Not sure how a passenger would be able to ride too.

I owned a 2001 and 2008 Ultra Classic before the 2005 Nomad and we have much more room on the Nomad than either Ultra.
