Jasper Alberta to Grande Canyon

Has anyone done a trip from Castlegard BC to the Grande Canyon via Yellowstone? We don't wish to travel too many miles on the interstate highways. Any info about routes would be appreciated and we will doing this on June 29th.

US-89 will probably be your friend through much of Utah, although it kind of gets swallowed up through the greater Salt Lake City area. Best bet there is just to get on I-15 from Brigham City until Spanish Fork, about 90 miles of urban freeways. Once you get to Spanish Fork (or "fark" if you're from there) you can exit I-15 and get back on 89 which will take you through UT into AZ and near the Grand Canyon. 89 is a very nice road, although it goes through a ton of small towns with small town speed limits and LEOs. It's very scenic, too.
