How to build Personal Web Pages?
I have an interest in building my own web page. I noticed in the main KawaNow website, there is a nomad links page which holds some personal web pages.
Can anyone explain how to create a personal web page? ??? Much appreciated, thanks. Login or Register to Remove Ads |

You need to write HTML or get a program the will do it for you like "Front Page". Then you need a place to store it on a server and you're good to go. You can also do it someplace like MySpace or Facebook, but sometimes there are too many ankle bitters there.

HTML is all about tags. You open them and close them to do things. Once you have started your page and you see something cool on another page, you may be able to grab the code and use it on your own page. When at a page you like you can click on "view" then on "source" and you will see the HTML coding. Sometimes this just helps to educate on how pages are drawn. Check with your Internet provider's website, some offer tools for building pages and allow you space to upload them. I use Comcast and FTP upload my pages.

There are several free WYSIWYG HTML Editors that you can play around with, NVU is fairly easy to use. Then it is just a matter of finding a host for your site. Most ISP's give you a Personal Webspace on their servers. If you are really serious and want your own Domain name there are plenty of places that will host for you around 3 to 10 dollars a month. Most of these also have web building software for use after you sign up.
