?Tie a Nomad to a Jack?
I got my HF jack and will be getting a jack adapter. Now anyone have pic's of how to tie the bike to the jack so it don't jump off? I put my Cushman on the jack without tie downs but the Nomad is a different story. And the jack works well to jack up one end of the rail too.

I don't strap mine at all. It gets annoying to have to adjust the straps every time I want to go up or down. The jack has a few places designed to be strapped to, but I think that if a 800+ bike started to tip, being strapped to a 25lbs jack isn't going to stop it.
If I'm leaving it on the jack over night, I lower it to it's lowest setting and lock it there. If I'm going to leave it for a few weeks, I also have a strap hanging from the rafters that I strap between risers.

I'd say to get Idaho's Jack adapter or just take it to the dealer (that's what I do, but not everyone has that option).

I use 4 1X4 pieces nailed together under my side stand. That way the Nomad is almost level. I use small 2X4 pieces to fit on the jack where it contacts the frame and jack it up. Then when I release the jack it comes down pretty much level. I do hold on to the right rear crash guard as the bike comes down. Haven't had any problem yet.

Wheelie, Just FYI. My adapters sell on E-Bay for $67.50 shipped but I sell them here directly to members for $60. When you are ready let me know.

I have never tied my bike to the jack. Like Utah said, if it's going to tip that little jack is not going to stop it.

My jack is pretty stable. When I am wrenching and trying to get tight bolts loose the tiedown is peace of mind.

I don't think that's the issue Stan, Jared.... I tie mine down so it doesn't move/slide around on the pads of the jack.

If I am doing swingarm work or some other project where the bike may be on the jack for a day or more, I actually put jackstands under the frame. You can't be too careful.

Does anybody else have trouble getting the jack and adapter under their bike? I have a harbor freight jack and an adapter, but there's not enough clearance to just slide it under easily seems to be a touch too high.

It's a tight fit on the low side, but it'll go under.

If that is the case, just put the kickstand on a 2x4 block before rolling the jack under. My jack is pretty low to the floor, so I don't have that issue.
