Factory Stickers

Just brought home my new 2011 (red) Vaquero... absolutely love it... except one little detail... The dam factory stickers on the tank and bags... anyone know an easy way to remove them without damage to the paint?

Warming them up with a hair dryer works, and the cleaning with Goo Be Gone or varsol to get rid of the adhesive.

I brought out the hair drier, heated up the decals, got a fingernail under a corner and slowly peeled them off. Followed up with Goo-Gone to clean the residue, followed by a good waxing.

Doesn't the Vaquero have a sticker UNDER the clear coat? If so, it's there to stay.

Like they said warm them and then Goo Gone to remove the adhesive.

I could be wrong. You'll have to look. I have worked on several Honda's with sticker decals and they're always under the clear, so I assumed the vaq's flat badge was the same.

On my Nomad I heated up the stickers and didn't need the Goo. I just used Pledge.

I heated mine & then used WD40 on the little bit of glue residue. WD40 also works very well!

He has a Vaq. There is no chrome decal like the Nomads. It's definitely going to be more tricky than removing a chunk of plastic taped on the tank like what most are talking about.

I thought he was talking about the warning stickers not the tank badge.
