What's the coldest weather you've ridden in?
I just returned from a round trip to Dublin (160 miles), a trip I undertook as it was a beautifully sunny day but by the time I left to return home at 4pm it was 0c (32f) and when I got home it was very cold indeed and I had the heated grips turned up to the last and I was shivering over the last few miles. When I got the bike into the garage and warmed up my paws I turned on the car and saw that it was -2c (28f) so I got to thinking there must be plenty of guys & gals on here who rode in lower temperatures than that so lets here who has ridden in the coldest weather?

18 degrees—so far. But it's not the cold that keeps me from riding, it is the snow, ice and use of salt that does.

Same here. High teens low 20's isn't too bad if you are dressed for it, ice snow and salt are the biggest issues we face in these parts.

Maybe 30 degrees. One good thing here is you don't have to worry about slick roads, unless some lawn sprinklers spray the road.

-12*F once. On a '75 Honda CB 750. It was years ago and I HAD to go to work (15 miles away). The car wouldn't start and all I had left (thank God) was the bike. No fairing, no windshield, no lowers. I think I had on every stitch of clothing I owned and was still frozen by the time I got there. Truely miserable. With that said, I'd ride in 20* weather these days with a fairing, lowers and dressed right. As others said, it's more the ice, snow and salt that keep the bike in the garage in winter.

28*F so far, but that was when I lived in Southern California. I have a feeling that now that I'm in Denver, that's going to change. Downward. Substantially.

Today it was 20 degrees when I left home and never got above 32.
The coldest temps were in the single digits, but I never got above 20 because I was on my dual sport in the woods. The nice thing was the mud was frozen.

In the late 60s I was going to college in Logan, UT. From my apartment to campus was about one mile. I had a Honda 50 CC step thru. If there was good snow on the road (so tires could bite into the snow) I would ride it to class in the winter. On several occasions I rode it with the temp below -20 F. The Honda 50 with my 190 lbs on it would go up hills (roads) with with snow on them that many 4x4 had trouble with. It was fun.
