Vulcan Emblem and Passenger Footrest Covers
Spent most of the afternoon on the internet and talking to a couple of companies regarding putting the Vulcan emblem on the backrest of my 1700 Nomad and adding passenger footrest covers (chrome plated).
First of all, these p/n "do not" show up for the 2010/2011 Vulcan Nomad 1700 anywhere. For those interested here's p/n, prices and internet companies: - chrome plated passenger footrest covers #14091-0229 $4.45/ea plus shipping $1.75 (PowersportsPlus.com) - Vulcan Emblem #56052-0325 & #56052-0852. What's the difference? One is shiny and one is dull (Lessons Motors). $25 + shipping Hope this helps! Login or Register to Remove Ads

Was just looking for something like that for my own bike and came across this item which I think looks nice, its a Nomad emblem for either the front fender or both sides of the bike as you can see in the photos. The only thing is it seems you'd have to buy two of them!

I think you could find those emblems cheaper than that place. I'd like to have a couple for the front fender or the saddle bags. You might be able to find some for a Chevy Nomad and use those. Some auto parts stores around the US will carry emblems like that. Not sure about your area.

My "Nomad" emblem is one for a 1957 Chevy Nomad tailgate. It is an OEM old stock item that I found at a mom & pop parts store for about $29.

Any ideas for fastening the emblem to the backrest - name of glue or tape?

I bought the emblem for the '08 Nomad and put it on my '09 Nomad. It comes with what looks like Butyl tape which should hold for the life of the bike when applied properly.

Other than that, maybe some gorilla glue might be a better option.
