Oil Filter

My brother bought a 2003 Nomad. I gave him some of my oil filters, and when he went to change the oil filter, it was not a regular spin on oil filter like I gave him, but a cover that you took off and then replaced the filter element. My question is, can he take this "kit" filter off and replace it with a regular spin on filter? I looked at the micro-fiche myself on-line, but I cannot tell if this is a possibility. Thanks.

Groundhog is no longer a member. I guess we annoyed him one too many times.

I noticed GH deleted his account the other day. Don't know what's going on there. I'm sure he's making spot visits as a guest. He set his logon as invisible before he deleted his account.

Oil Filter

A friend of mine had to have a oil filter kit installed. Every time he changed his oil and put a spin on filter on when he cranked bike up it would blow filter off and oil went everywhere. Kit solved the problem.

Nothing to anyone of importance.

I actually admire him for leaving. I would rather see someone leave if they don't like something rather than complain about it over and over and over again; or worse yet sabotage like VC did.

That's true, Wolfy. I feel the same way.

What I don't understand is why some people have to have KawaNOW the way THEY want it. I guess they're used to having things their way all the time....not sure. I also feel that egos play a big part in this. I guess they feel they have the right answer to everything......who knows.

VC wanted to fit in, but he didn't like the humor and pics posted......kevin left because I changed the title to his thread???? Doc developed a problem with BD but things there seem to be stabilized..... Don't know why GH left. I know he was getting annoyed with the humor and off-topic discussion at times.

I'm sure others have left that we probably don't know about and that's fine. I didn't create KawaNOW to make everyone happy. I created it to be a place for everyone to gain knowledge about their Nomads.

You can't please everyone at all times. Overall this is a great site. One thing that irritates me is intollerance towards others - which is why I like this site because there is hardly any of that crap and if a rare instance arises it seems to be resloved fairly quickly. People coming and going is just a fact of life - Not everyone will keep their nomads untill the day they die. I know I know............. infidels and violaters of the slogan!

This site is cool because everyone wants to help everyone. I for one have benefited greatly and am glad I joined even though I was reluctant at first.
