National rally base hotel

Just booked a room at the base hotel. Apparently there are not many rooms left so I had to take a smoking room. If you are going, better make a reservation soon. The lady who I talked to did say that the motel across the street would be offering the same rate for any overflow, but it is not open at the moment.

There are a lot of motels not all that far away. Could even stay in Cherokee if it comes to that.

Thats great that you got a room Norm, why did you leave it so late? At least I'll have a place to have a cigar if its raining out.

Gene, My brother was down there this summer, and he confirms what you are saying, lots of places to stay. I guess it is more a question of being at the center of the action.

Steve, Wasn't sure if the wife was coming or I was going to split on a room with others. Still don't know, but I was running out of time to procrastinate. bring beer and febreze and my door will be open to you. No febreze?, bring lots of beer.

At least you got a room Norm, thats the main thing. Even though there are other places to stay close by, its always nice to stay where you can have a beer and not have to ride anywhere.
Thats why the Lake George motel was good, we could all stay together at one location.
I was going to take a smoking room, but they are all located on the top floor and I don't want to bother with the steps. I ended up on the ground floor.

When I switched from a double to a deluxe king room on the second floor, the lady said there IS an elevator.

Id assume that there is an elevator, Id just rather not bother lugging my stuff around any farther than I need to. I find having my bike right outside my door handy if I can.

Steve for faster get aways and minimum lugging of stuff, you could always sleep in the tour pac.
