EXHAUST GASKETS
My new baggers came in Tues. But i cant install them because the gaskets have not come in yet. I am told that they had to come from Kawasaki and it could take up to two weeks to get them.
Out of three dealers in the area , not one has the gaskets. Has anyone used the old gaskets with the new baggers? My bike only has 4000+ miles on it. Think i could use the old ones? they look pretty good to me . Login or Register to Remove Ads |

I believe there's a Harley gasket that's the same size, but I can't find the part #. Anyone...Bueller...Bueller?
HD dealers usually stock them. I guess you could always take one of yours in and match them up.

I used my old gaskets with my Cobra True Duels, and no problems after two years. Go for it...

Got mine from cheapcycleparts.com. Here in a week. Bought a bunch of stuff and the price was great. 40% off what my local dealer wanted. Gotta buy enough to make shipping worth it.

Use the HD gaskets they are alway in stock, and only $8.00 a pair.

Installed the baggers last night. Man what a difference. I like the sound. Think i will the baffled the way they are.
One thing i noticed . The left muffler is very very close to the oil drain plug for the rear gear case. Looks like i will have to move the muffler to drain the oil. Is this normal? |

I had 3,000 miles on my 2008 and used the old gaskets, over 9000 now and no problems. The left muffler is close to the drain plug but when my brother changed the oil he did'nt remove the muffler. He did take the bag off to get to it.
