Highway/crash bar hitting my fender tip. Help!!!

So I just installed the Front and trailing front National Cycle fender tips on my 08 Nomad 1600. Not even thinking it would be an issue, the highway/crash bar has a bar that goes across the bottom of the radiator and every time I hit a decent bump or my front end dives from using the front brake, that bar comes down and hits the fender tip. The tip only sticks out maybe 3/4" more than before I installed it. I can't simply remove the tip now as there are 3 holes drilled through my fender for installing it. Can anyone recommend a good higway bar or 2 piece crash bar set that doesn't have a bar going across at the bottom of the radiator please? Thanks

The highway/crashbar that is on it is a brand new Barons. Was just put on before I purchased the bike. Anybody have one that will work for me and wanna trade? Just taking a shot

I would consider changing the fork oil and either adding a pvc spacer above the fork springs or replacing with progressive's springs . it sounds like you have to much dive . Unless you are running an oversize frt wheel and fender 21 inch etc. then all bets are off

Is there any way you can move the crashbar back towards the radiator. Maybe elongate the hole in the fixing bracket. Or drill a new one further back.

That's my only option. To drill a new hole in the floorboard bracket. It would work. How hard would it be to drill through that bracket? That's pretty thick solid steel

Pull the crashbar back to where it needs to be, and mark where you want the hole..Centre punch it, then start with a small drill bit, about 5mm. Go slowly, so you dont overheat the bit, and blunt it. If it gets hard going, take the footboard brackets to someone with a drill press. That will piss through them.
