Member States and ride ideas

What states make up our region? I am at a loss.

Reason why I'm asking is that it seems our NC, SC, VA members have a couple rides scheduled for the coming weeks. For me, they are over 700 miles from here.

I would be up for a ride in GA or AL. Florida in the summer is just too darned hot and wet.

Any ideas?

As near as I can tell from Trips' map it looks like these states:

Alabama
Georgia
Florida
North Carolina
South Carolina
Tennessee
Virginia
West Virginia

Dang, missed Kentucky! :'(

Coacha, I think that they are NC,SC,GA,FL,VA,WV,KY,TN,AL.

I think the best way to do rides is to just post a ride and see who would like to go. That's what we have been doing in the old Region. So far it has worked well. As you can see we do have some rides coming up in our area but they are a bit far for you. Just post up something in Florida and see who responds. Who knows I might ride down some time and ride with ya.

Coach,
When the rain stops and the temp cools, we should do a Key West trip.

I made the key west ride about three years ago and it was one of the best rides I have done. I don't believe I could do it agin though. To many back surgeries

Obviously we are not all going to make 500 mile trips, to ride 150 miles with members. Of course a couple of yearly ones in our region would be nice.

If I might make a suggestion, as Nomad already has, members from their own states know the best rides for their areas. I would post a date along with some ride details for your specific area and this would allow your neighbors a chance to join you on a ride. Get to meet some people who would be able to ride on a more frequent basis.

It seems to have worked up in our area. Nice one this weekend, that I cant make, then a nice one the week after. Just post it, and they will come. Even Todd. lol

Also a good one this fall would be the parkway from Georgia to Virginia when the leaves start to turn. Ride several days, get on and off where you please. Florida is nice but you just have to watch out for those dang Highway Patrol men. lol

All good people just doing their jobs, my future son-n-law just told me he got a speeding ticket today I then ask the norm was he speeding he said yes. YOU PLAY YOU GOTTA PAY, I have the up most respect for the boys in blue. but back on topic listing rides for local folks is a good Idea. so here's mine for sunday afternoon we will be riding to a local amusement park (lake winnie) the country music singer bucky covington well be there (wife gets her way every now and then). I think its $10.00 to get in the gate and the consert is free should be fun. concert at 3pm.
ride safe.
