High School Football 2009

I was just wondering how Coacha's team was doing this season? My local Scool, the Houston Tigers, is 1-6 going into district play this week. It has been a long season here. How is everyone else's schools doing?

It has been a long one here too. 0-6 after getting beat last week by the #9 team in the state. We have a couple winnable games coming up. We lost two games by 8 each, one of which was taken by the officials (it is being investigated by the state athletic association in fact).

We will be better next year, with me as the coach or someone else...think this is the end of the road for me. 27 years is a long time.

I have seen our local high schools lose by just a few points. It comes down to mistakes ( fumbles interceptions) that makes a game turn around and get out of reach.
Seasons come & go, but they have to keep their heads up and give 110%. It isn't just winning; It's how bad do you want to win.

The Boaz Pirates from Boaz, AL, are 5-2 this year. They lost two weeks ago after getting two touchdowns behind and then came back and scored a touchdown but missed the extra point. Then scored again and this time had to go for two points on the point after and failed. That would have tied the game and sent it to overtime. But that is the way it goes sometimes. They should still make the playoffs as they are tied for first in their division.

Wow... 1-6 I would almost be happy with as we have not won a game in more than two years. We are in a much smaller school in our division among schools who have players heavily recruited by OSU.

I spot for the home games and haven't missed one in a number of years and my heart goes out for the kids, but they still love to play, the coaches love to coach and they keep on trying so all is good.

Our local team is currently 6-0, rated #1 in their class in State. It is amazing the run they have had, 45 straight wins, 3 consecutive State Championships and 5 out of the last 8. Can't say how long it will go on.
