Update on Jim and Liz's life

Been away from boards for awhile as our lives are changing quite drasticly. First and biggest our daughter-in-law is in the national guard and is being deployed to Kwait June 6th. She has been at pre-deployment training and that has left Liz and I as the major care provider for our 2 year old granddaughter. Riley stays with us from Sunday afternoon until Thursday evening and then Daddy takes over unless he has to work overtime and then we have her an extra day. We will have the baby for the next 9 months to a year depending on deployment turn over in Kwait. Secondly Liz's work hours has changed and she now has shifts to work. She works either a week of 8-5; 9-6 or 10 to 7 and now also works 2 Saturdays on and 2 Saturdays off 10am to 5pm. And then our youngest son and his old school friend bought an old house and have been working on it a couple of days a week hoping to turn it for a little profit. So I have been helping out over there on the wiring and such. Yes our lives has changed and we get little riding time. I think we might have rode 500 miles so far this year. We have vacation planned for the Antler Rally so hopefully we will see everyone then. Everyone ride safe and take care. We miss seeing you guys.

Good to hear from you. I wish you two were able to make it to Van Buren.
Even being the terrible two's I'm sure Riley is a pleasure most of the time.
If she's like my two grandson's it's some of the time.
The two Saturdays on/off doesn't help with getting in some riding.
Hope your daughter-in-law stays safe.
Looking forward to seeing you in Antlers.

We had kind of planned for Van Buren but it is the same weekend as Liz's family reunion. We are going to the VROC Rally in Boscobel, WI over Father's Day weekend. Which is also kind of our anniversiery present to ourselves. We will have been married 29 years the 17th of June. I don't know how Liz has put up with me that long.

Well, Congratulations on 29 years.
I guess Liz has a lot of patience and understanding.

Coincidence?
Our youngest son split with his lady 5 years ago. He and their daughter
moved in with us, she was 9 months old. They are still here. We have all
been lucky as it has been fairly easy.
Our wedding anniversary is June 17th as well, 40 this year.
Girls are easier to raise then boys. (so far).

Good luck with everything and congrats on 29!
