Below freezing this morning
I started last cold season on my Classic: smaller windshield and no lowers. Below 40 degrees was too cold for chaps.
At 30 degrees, this season starts with Nomad with lowers, crash guard chaps, Gerbing heated jacket liner and glove liners, and my leather jacket. Today, the chaps were fine (with just a hint of cold in those special, unchapped areas). I'm guessing the chaps will work down to about 25, then I'll start using my quilted overalls. Further research will determine when I'll don my Tourmaster weather jacket as a wind-resistant over-layer. Gerbing heats well. When traffic began stop and go, I had to turn down the heat on the jacket liner rather quickly. I can deal with that!

Below freezing this morning
Local weatha' in the morning has been around mid 20's. Quite possibly this coming Sunday will be warm enough to suit me for a last ride of the season.
After that, oil and coolant will get changed out, and the very last ride for a full tank of fuel will happen. Winta' is comin on strong.. meanwhile there was no summer at all unless one day at 90 counts. I plan to get a summer re-bate from Al Gore. I also expect him to personally finance all snow removal this winter. I don't care what he does with the 6 feet deep snow I expect. he can take it to Tn for all I care or go re-build some glacier. Same day, different time, and I got this white stuff falling from the sky. Tad early for around here. elevation about 800 feet. Oh I see! Must be Gorebal warming....... huh... ::) Well off to turn things into CARBON

Looks like I might get that chance.. I was gonna ride tomorrow, and might, but a garden tiller popped up on the local bargan hunters guide, as a trade, and I might have what the gent wants.
If I go get it it will eat sunshine, but I might still make it out for a shortie..
