I searched high and low all the major bike sites trying to find sets of metzler's continental's and dunlop's at the higher end. Nowhere could I find sets. In addition, the prices were out of sight. As a last straw I did something I've never done before and that was take a chance looking on Amazon. I've bought very little off of Amazon, but in this case I hit the jackpot. Price was certainly right and I was able to get both tires. Things must be awfully tight in the motorcycle tire market because they are out of tires all over the place and those that they have, their very proud of them with their prices. I will report back in time on the tires. Most of my riding is two up, probably 95%, so it will be a real tell on the rear tire. I never thought to look at the question of warranty etc, because I was too anxious to grab the two tires when I found them.

I got the tires mounted Sun, but freak storm moved in so I've only put on about 50 miles. First impression: smooth, planted, but turns in easy. Bike much easier to turn into curves and corners. Tar strips do nothing and slight grooves aren't felt. Very impressive. Of course, to me, living in southern Arizona, wet traction is not a concern since it rains so little. Rarely get caught in rain and when I do, I slow down. I hope these will be long lasting, although I am kind of spoiled by the 18-20,000 miles my Commander 2's gave me.

They are defective. They both have a large hole in the center

And to make it easier to find the hole... they've highlighted it in white.
