I dont remember how many miles I got on the Bridgestones on my Voyager but the Commander II's are way better. I am going into my 3rd season on the Michelins with lots of tread left.

You obviously don't ride over 5,000 miles a year

my stock rear tire was worn out at 10,000km pushed a little longer then I should have cords where showing at 14,000km. So back to the dark side I went just as I did with my 03 nomad with fantastic results. Just installed a hitch on the bike for a long 8000km journey down from the great white north to the big easy and then east through florida and up the coast in july. Figured if I only got 10,000km on the bike without a trailer and without the big heat of the south I would have needed new rubber after my trip!

I usually average about 10 to 12,000 kms a year. I have about 15,000 on the Commander II's so far.

They were fitted half way through 2012 and did 5,000kms.

I rode them 10,000 kms in 2013 and hope to get all of 2014 on them.

4,600 miles on the first Bridgestone, 5000 on the second. Put Michelins CommanderII's on front and rear. 9000 miles and plenty of tread left.

I have 11,500 miles on my Commander II tires. They started with 9/32 tread depth and I have just a little under 7/32 on them now. I run 40 psi in the front and back. Have ridden in heavy rain and dry weather and they handle great, not a single complaint.

Git 6K on my stock Stones - Have around 16.5 K on my Commander IIs . . . I ran them a little low on a long ride and need to replace them now soon - but I may get 17 out of them - Defiitely getting another set and keeping the pressure up next time!

I replaced my stock rear shortly after buying the bike in July, just under 10k miles. I replaced the front just last month with 15k miles on it.

I replaced them with OE Bridgestones and like them a lot. They handle great, even in the snow/slush mix I got stuck in going over a pass in UT last weekend.

I'll look into the Commander II's next.

I can usually get 11-12k on my front Dunlop, the rear is a car tire on its third season and still looks great.

to answer your question on how many miles did we get out of the stock tires on a vaquero,i got 4,700 mostly due to the chip sealed roads that are common here and are very hard on tires.

On the Michelin's, are you guys going with the 180-65r16 rear? Does it affect your speedometer at all? It should only be .2" smaller so I wouldn't think so, but I'm just curious.

It will affect it a little, more at higher speeds but still not much to speak of. About a half a mile an hour at 70
