I must have missed the dialog that ended with June being the month of choice???
June is the wettest of the three summer months in the WV mountains. And it is also the month that the North and South Central regions have their rally scheduled in Arkansas. It's also the wettest of the three summer months there in the Ozarks so probably gonna get wet this year no matter what choice a fella makes.
But, if June is not a done deal perhaps August would be a dry'r choice? Plus maybe it could be set up so we lead into or follow the NE and East Canada regions rally so people could make both if they we so inclined???
Just say'n......... and it's ok if you just put me on the "ignore" list.

If people want August that is fine. I'll pull this down. Understand that you will rule out anyone in education with an August date due to school restarting.

We also have October date that we are using for a fall gathering.

I'd prefer June so one of my boys can make it and August would not work. The week of the June 15th would work best as the SC/NC are having theirs the week of the 22nd. I'm going to try to make both and others might also. It's going to be a good month

Ok, Call me old. School always started the week before or the week of Labor Day when I was growing up??? Does school start August 1st now???Dang!!!
My comment was more about looking for a way for every region to not end up having their rally during the same 10 days in June than it was about getting a specifically August schedule. Spacing them out a bit would make it possible for some cross pollination with members from other regions coming to be hosted at the home region's rally. If our rally is enough earlier in June than the North and South Central Regions Combined Rally in Ark so that I can make both I will still be there. So if June is the required month then my vote would be June 8-14.

Actually Ross, I have to be back in late July, lol. Most in education now have to be back within the first couple weeks of August.

I like the June month as ours is probably going to be in August.
This will allow Cindy and I to attend both

Please disregard my vote for the week of the 15th. I am new to the forum and did not realize that this was for s specific region. I cannot attend.

You can attend, I am not from their region either but most of them don't have a problem with me attending

Who said you can't attend? Anyone can attend any rally that the VBA sponsors. You just have to show up with whatever bike you ride and bring the proper offering to the regional leader and his asst. leaders. In the case of the SE region, that would be Gentleman Jack or Crown Royal.

Believe me, if I could retire today, I'd be out the door in a heart beat. But with a 13 year old at home, that ain't happening any time soon. Even though Tammy hit the lotto last week, I still can't retire. I tried to figure out why I couldn't retire if we won and she said $27 won't get us very far.
