I found this pic while shooping for stickers. Can you just turn the backrest around to ride solo?

I have seen a few like that, but never tried it. Always looks like backrest leans forward to me, but may actually work out OK. Would be interested to hear what someone that has done it thought of it as well.

I've seen that bike pic on the Delphi boards. I would not be able to ride with that unless I modified the sissy bar to be more vertical or even a bit of a tilt to the rear.

I like the shape of the air cleaner cover. Not a fan of the cross on it. Wonder where he got it. That is a 1600 bike right?

One good piece of pipe taken to a pipe bender could get the backrest in the right position.

Don't like the cross on the air cleaner, either. What is with the Maltese Cross on bikes anyways? Jesse James uses it as his company logo but other than that does it have any particular meaning when used on bikes?

elvis... I think the cross originally started as a Christian symbol sometime around the time of the Crusades. Now, what that has to do with cycles, I have no idea.

I have a big maltese cross patch on the back of my vest. Not really sure what the significance is with bikes, other than I bought it at a cycle shop.

The Goldwing and BMW crowd hasn't picked up on the Maltese cross yet :)

Per Wikipedia:
"Bikers started to display the Iron Cross in the mid 1960's with the advent of outlaw biker gangs. Originally bikers displayed the Iron Cross as a symbol of rebellion to society in general. Nowadays it also has additional meaning of honor, valor, strength and standing up for what you believe."

The cross could signify the "Crusades" from King Arthur's time. Bikes are like knights on shining steeds always going away on crusades.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the cross on CJ's vest means honor, valor, strength and standing up for what you believe. Not symbol of rebellion to society in general
