Ivan's ECU flash - Updated

Hi Guys,

In my quest for the best for everyone, I have made a few updates to my ECU programming for this bike.

This is available to everyone who has purchased my flash and is free of charge except for the shipping.

The version that you have is engraved on the back side of your ecu.
The new versions will end with the following digits:

59C - or - 59C_BAK

The newer version has a lot of tweaks that effect driveability and sensitivity to fuel quality... overall it's worth doing when you have the time.

I will not get into specifics in an open forum.

If you have questions, please call on the phone during business hours... I don't have a lot of time to spend answering questions here. But, I'm always available during the day at work and I'm happy to answer your questions in person.

Thanks very much to everyone,

Ivan

Greetings Ivan,
Thank you. Your knowledge and understanding of ECU is very much appreciated!
Is there a time limit as to how long this offer is valid?

Ride safe,
Smokier

Hey that is good news I wonder what it really does the new flash will it let you use lower grades of fuel? I have had mine done but just here in Alberta as we have had nothing but cold weather going to put the bike together today and do the cold start and hear those lifters make awful noise for awhile after starting. Then a ride is planned.

Have to wait till end of season here to send in as we get such a brief season here can not afford to go with out for a week or so.

With the weather here being cold and wet all week, I am going to send my ecu in to be updated. It was reflashed in early March, but according to the post above, it is not the newest version. It will go out in the morning.

Spoke to Ivan today and he said that premium gas must still be used in the 1700 Vulcan after the flash including the updated flash 59C or 59 BAK. This makes sense to me because modded flash or not the compression ratio is going to be the same. Ivan also said his updated flash will give better throttle response and better drivability. I sent my Ivanized ECU back to get the updated flash today. Ivan said to use his form from the website and write your information on the form and send it with your ECU. Be sure to write that it is updated re-flash and a good phone # so Ivan's can get your credit card info to mail your updated ECU back to you.
