I've been reading more and more about that ordeal, and WOW, am I impressed! The planning and carrying out of that rescue is amazing. I'm glad the Navy Seals are on our side!

I'm sure an apology and payment to the families for lost wages will be coming out of the other Washington soon enough.

In the meantime, "It's not just a job..."

Those poor unemployed Somali teenagers... would have been the headlines if we had a president from a different party...

For those that have not seen an illustrative detail of how the Navy Seals did this; then do yourself a favor and learn about it. It was truly amazing -- especially shooting three of them through a small glass window no bigger than 3 ft. x 1 ft. They had to fight against the reflections from the sun and water to see who they were aiming at; and then all three sharpshooters pulled their triggers at the same time. Don't know how they coordinated it; but truly amazing.

In addition; I thought it rather funny that the Seals dove between the destroyer and the pirate's boat undetected to hook up a tow-line. Once it was connected; the destroyer backed further away from the shore until they could get a "bead" on as many of them as possible.

There wasn't much the pirates could do at that point besides give-up; which obviously they were too stupid; or desperate to do so.
