I have mine on a ram mount against the shield with a piece of rubber on the side to block the glare. I have it behind the shield to protect the lense from bugs and whatever else.

Videos take a long time to up-load so I usually make pictures show. but here is two so you can see. Also I sent you a PM.

as you can see it depends on the angle of the sun. Try to keep the sun behind you.

Video Camera/Camcorder Mount

I had no problem shooting video with a short RAM mount in the middle of my bars behind the shield. After putting on the fairing, I found that a ram mount out closer toward the grip made for a very shaky picture. My wife bought one of those GoPro HD video cameras that comes with various vehicle mounting methods but I have not yet opened the box.

Yep, I would not have bought it but my wife got it at a silent auction at the Indiana Southern Cruisers state rally for half of retail. It is the Motorsports model. I have used my Canon SD790 compact digital camera in video mode with great results.

Jay,

It looks like in the video, first house right after the first stop sign, right side, is that a red Nomad?

looks good, looks like the anti-shake was on. Put the camera closer to the shield and/or something around the camera so you don't get the glare/reflection from the shield.

did I hear floorboards or pipes scraping

haha good attention to detail...the red bike is a yamaha i believe, i don't know him but maybe i should say hi...that bike is there all the time i don't think he rides it so maybe i could take it out for him :)

yes you heard boards scraping ha...i purposely decided to scrape the boards on that curve, its fun and surprised how well it recorded it!

stupid RI drivers... as you could tell the girl in front of me was going less than posted speed limit and tapping her brakes for no reason then pulls into the ghetto shopping plaza abruptly without her blinkah!

i do need to figure out the glare situation, work in progress

I just stopped on the way home, Best Buy, and bought the MiniHD Flip Video. It's the same thing, just smaller. With the close out price, you can't beat it.

I've been using a nice camera in Video mode on a RAM mount in the past. Works pretty well, but I have to pay too much attention to it to switch between picture or video mode. This will be nice, simple and safer with one of these Flip camcorders. Also, for what the prices are now, if it would fall off or get caught in the rain, not a big deal, unlike a expensive unit.
