Mirror, mirror, on the wall.......
Good riddance to the snow!
I took my '01 out for my first ride of the year...what a great feeling....except for my wrist. Last year I added 3" risers but didn't adjust the angle of the handlebars. On longer rides my throttle wrist would hurt. I angled the bars down and they feel great....except I can no longer see behind me! My mirrors won't pivot up enough in any direction. What ideas or options has anyone done? My current mirrors are after-market. Thank you and RIDE SAFE!

They look great, Mick, but since I've moved the bars, they are already perfect...I need to modify the mirrors somehow to get to the correct angle to be useful.

Chief, I just bought a set of these.
They are bigger and may be what will work for you. They have a nut on the back as well as on the stem and are very adjustable. I have my bars on risers and tilted down and these work for me. I forget where in NY you are but I am near Rome and we could probably meet so you could check the position of my bars and mirrors. http://www.amazon.com/Emgo-Universal.../dp/B00411JRBM

I must admit i had the same problem, so i moved the lever's forward until the mirror's were in the right place, which worked out ok for me because the new riding position meant i could have the lever's pointing downward's a bit more, which i like. I will have to loosen them to check the fluid level's though.

Thanks for the suggestions! TC...I may take you up on your offer one of these days....I live just north of Exit 40. My current mirrors are teardrop shaped, which I do like. I did find mirror clamps I can place anywhere on the handlebars to achieve the proper viewing angle...but that would leave two big empty mirror holes where they currently are. My bike is currently in the shop getting new sneakers on, so I'll do more investigating when I pick it up!

Chief, my mirrors are mounted on my fairing now, and where my stock mirrors were I put these, they are great to hang your helmet on.

Levers pointing to the sky now ? I do not understand. bars in right place, so loosen the clamps and set the mirrors back so you can see....... right ?

They're pointing at the ground now, and I'd prefer not to rotate the levers. VulcanE, you may have me sold! I was worried about the old mirror holes....you've provided a great solution!!!!

I'll bet this kind of problem is almost non-existent if you own a Victory... If only there were someone here who could tell us...
