Let the mods begin....
Started getting my back pay from the Navy so I have officially commenced on the mod trail! Ordered my bully fuel processor and airkit today as well as a wompus rack. Buying some fiberglass tonight to strengthen the Mutazu DMY trunk and then on the next installment ordering my reckless fairing and got a guy here to paint the fairing AND the trunk 2 tone for $450. Going DS this evening and getting some odds and ends today too Cannot wait!

Sounds like you have a plan Dewey. Of course, pics are a must when she is all done.

Sounds great D! Good luck getting it all set up. And, as already stated... show us some pics as you go along so we can see your progress.

Whew, horn installed; wiring for lighting is in, just needs to be connected. Now to wait for my darn airkit and bully controller, neither of which have been shipped yet according to sites. Got my DS tire in, aligned and brakes reinstalled. Man it was so much easier to take everything off, lol.
BTW, anyone figured a cheaper alternative to the slip-on exhaust gaskets?? 25.99 a pop!!! Had an exhaust leak so they were needed but wow what a kick in the crotch!

Not sure how I feel about the ds tire...feels kinda squirrelly, gonna give it 500 miles unless I just feel really unsafe.

dewey, by your statement "DS Tire" I'm assuming your talking about a car tire. I can't offer advice since i don't run a car tire on my bike...but... I can tell you that from everything I've read on forum about car tires (and thats a bunch) getting the air pressure right is critical to how the tire handles. Everyone says you have to adjust the pressure until you get it right, evidently theres a magic number that you have to find. from what i seem to remember that number is right around 30psi but I'm not posative on that. remember comments that it has to be lower so the tire can "flex or roll" a little.

yeah but from everything I have read I should stay at ~40 for the first 500 miles or so to break it in. Realized on my way home that I never put the dynabeads in so that may have something to do with it, fixing that this afternoon.

dammit I can't tell if it the tire, something is loose or if it is normal but when I roll on the throttle and roll off real quick right around the front pully for the drive system it 'lurches' and clunks. Now I know this isn't normal riding but I noticed it on a heavy roll on and can duplicate it almost every time now. Please tell me this is normal, lol.

Hey Dewy , Idont think its the tire & I started my sp5000 at 32 psi and havent touched it . absolutely love the tire . no unusual cluncks on mine afterwards. so maybe something didnt bolt back up right. hope you get it fixed soon .

Wow, super impressed with Thunder Mfg, bought and paid early last monday, they didn't process the payment until Wednesday and I am being told it will ship SOMETIME this week. They REALLY need some competition for the 1700's.

Installed Thunder airkit that lets me keep the stock look and a bully fuel processor. The bully is fickle about where to ground it I have found, the ground I have been using isn't good enough for it I guess. Of course I didn't get pics because I installed it right before bed last night so I can ride it in today so when I get back in there this weekend I will get them done.
