Maybe you can email Luverne Kawasaki. They make a mechanical lowering kit for the 1700's.
Not sure if they also have an air ride kit. http://www.luvernekawasaki.com/accessories.aspx Roaring Toyz does and air ride kit. Not sure if they do one for 1700's http://www.buynowroaringtoyz.com/Spo...stem_s/143.htm This is a video on Youtube of a Vaquero with air ride

Buy a set of monroe ma785 air shocks $65 viair 97c compressor $60 dump solenoid and various fittings and tubing a three position switch and you can build your own for under $300. You will have to modify or make the correct bushings for the shock but you will have to do that with any Harley kit also for 3 or 4 times the money.

Am I missing something here? I spent a lot of money to eliminate the air shocks from my bike, due to their short service life and poor rebound damping. Replacing the air shocks with Works Performance adjustable spring rate shocks has made a significant improvement in handling and pillion capacity.
Tongue in cheek....... I know you're going for that slammed look but good grief, your bike must handle like a rubber cow?

yes you can make your own. I preferred to go the pre-made route. Pair of shocks, compressor, dump valve hoses, fittings, wiring, switch with built in relay, and the best part is a remote control unit. yes it cost more but to me it was worth it to have a phone number to call when I had an issue with wiring. I felt much better knowing my kit has been installed in 500-1000 Harley's. As for the ride of the shocks these do not bounce like the OEM, they are a shock surrounded by airbag, not air assist like OEM. Obviously the softer I set it the lower the bike gets and the softer the ride. If I want firm I hit the switch riding down the road and pump it up to my liking. 2 reasons for me getting it other then it just looks way cool slammed when parked. 1 i am short and actually had issues with the bike sitting still and balancing, now i just lower it about 2 inches and I am fine. 2 I haul a trailer while 2 up riding. being able to add air to keep the bike level is awesome and safer. Took me the better part of the day to install everything taking my time. I have about 20,000 miles on the air ride and would do it again in a heart beat.

In case anyone else is interested this is my kit. The only thing that had to be done is a bushing made to adapt the Shock mount eye from Imperial to Metric. Compressor is in truck, manual switch is in dash and remote module is inside faring behind switch. Dump valve is under seat on top of battery cover, All air lines a run inside Heat shrink tube for extra rub protection.
xotic customs Tail Dragger kit KIT This is where the compressor is installed. Shocks installed

Do anyone of you know the size of the bushing needed as spacer to make Monroe fit on the bike? Is there some ready made or do you have to make one yourself?
Thinking of using this compressor : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER |

The hole on the bottom where the wires come through the trunk would allow new air to enter.
