.
I’m going to have to second that question. You can’t even see the rear wheel.

Well, you can't see the wheel because it is a 16 incher. However, the new HD Road Glide and Street Glide Specials have switched to an 18" rear wheel and you can clearly see the bottom portion. Aside from the visual aspect of a bigger wheel though, the lower profile tire would flex less when cornering, though would have a harsher ride. At the end of the day, I really like the looks of the 18" wheel on the HD so I am sure I would like it on the Vaquero.

Well, to each their own....your gonna jack up your final drive ratio when you do this, will have to start playing musical pulleys.
While the 1700 has a ton o torque.....you might have to reduce your front pulley 1 tooth....

No change to final drive ratio. Just like any plus 2 conversion. Wheel gets bigger, tire sidewall gets smaller, overall diameter remains the same.

Seems like a lot of work and expense for very little gain.

You are absolutely correct about that! However, if I, or lots of others, added up the money spent on car and bike mods and compared that amount to the gains, you'd rarely do any mods at all. This would be a mod you could feel more than you can see, just like Ivanizing, though a pretty expensive one for sure!

I am more concerned with the the pulley to wheel issue in this mod. If you pull it off (pun intended), I'd like to know how and what you did to marry up the pulley to an HD wheel. Maybe it's not an issue at all, but that is where my brain is stuck right now...

The stick rear pulley is 72 tooth? Is that correct? A 70 tooth might be interesting... Hummmm, may have some research to do this winter. Thanks alot BonV, now you just triggered another project for me. Ride safe, Smokier
