1600 bag handle removal
Hey BD,
I need to replace the handle on my right bag. I have the kawasaki maintainence book but unfortunately it doesn't tell you how to do things just provides detailed pic's. There is a "shaft" that the handle is attached inside the bag but cannot figure out how to manuver the inner workings to get it off the shaft. thanks vin Login or Register to Remove Ads |

If your refering to the chrome handle on the bag, you'd have to dis-assemble from the inside with the lock mechanism. I have not seen the detail pic of the lock and I don't think I've heard of any other replacing the locking mechanism that the shaft is attached to.
When I get time this weekend, I'll take a look at mine to see if there is a way. If you do get it out before then, please post the results here so that others will benefit from your insight.

part 92033 are circular clips on either end of the shaft and you can pop them off with needle nose pliers and the shaft should slide right out and then you can remove the handle.

1600 bag handle removal
ok. thanks guys. I think the issue is going to be how to slide the shaft back or forward. There's little to no room.
