Sure is quiet

I have noticed that lately the regional board and the main board have been unusually quiet. I figured since the riding season was pretty much over in many areas that we would be hearing from folks more since they weren't out riding.
WHere is everyone????? ??? ??? ??? ???

Been in debates with a bunch of people on the main boards regarding politics, economics, and a lot of other "nonsense". We had fun; and likely made fools of ourselves.

I have noticed a few of the NCR people that normally are heard-from all the time have simply disappeared.

I have sent a couple PM's to a few; but have not heard back -- thus assume they are no longer active on the site. (Haven't seen any posts from them.)

Scion0 has not been heard from. (Maybe he quit?) I saw a couple posts from roadman to which I responded.

Nothing from Stretch.

Little from Ponch... but there are a lot of others that have seemed to have vanished.

Again; maybe some of these people have quit the site; or have other things to do. I know I should be doing more than just sitting around "blogging" on a website.

It also could be the "times" we are in. Given the election, economy, and the markets... things are tough and many individual's attitude is a bit dampened... Maybe this might have something to do with it also.

Other than that... we'll see who shows up again.

I've been trying my hand at blogging, which got me in trouble, but I still do it anyway, and it takes up too much of my time. Anyway, I did ride yesterday and I have to say it's starting to get cold. I hate this sh*te.

Ponch; I thought you liked to ride in this stuff.

It has to be cold in Iowa. It is here in Northern Illinois.

Today was a high of around 28 degrees with a wind chill far below that -- far too cold for me to ride. In fact; far too cold to even a snowmobile even if we would have had snow.

It is only late November and I am completely sick of this stuff.

I agree with you guys on both counts: It has been quiet, and it has been cold. I want to go riding some more! It was 14 outside this morning.

Sure is quiet

Hi everyone. I logged on to the forum today for the first time in over a month. I guess life has gotten really busy and I haven't had much time to be on the computer. Our winter sports season has started at school, so between that and teaching, my time is pretty well taken up.
I used to go on here several times a day, but I kind of got turned off about a month ago with so much talk on here about politics and other very debatable topics. I know people are free to express their views and opinions, but I hear too much about politics in all the other media sources. I hope now that the election is over that that topic is done with on here.
I still haven't officially put my Nomad away for the year, but the riding season is over. We've had a nice late fall here, with the temps in the upper 30s. I'm off from school until Monday, so I'm going to winterize the bike on Friday.
I hope you all have a very good Thanksgiving with family and friends you care about!

I rode once this week. it was 25 in the morning. Man, I need heated gloves or grips. I did fill it up on the way home. Hopefully I will get out a few days in the next month.

Hope everyone's T-Day was good.

I traveled to Central Illinois for a few days (not on the bike); however we saw quite a few out riding over the last couple days. The temps were around 44 -- 46 degrees with some breeziness. They had to be cold; but I have to admit -- I was a bit envious of them.
