Fairing Question
I would likely have pulled the trigger on a Reckless a couple of weeks ago but I can't decide which one.
So, I'm going to ask for (I can't believe this) opinions. Which speaker set up is holding me back. Which will deliver the best sound at speed? And yes I remember that I am asking for opinions. So don't be offended. TIA MT

Id go with the two 6 1/2" speakers, I think that looks best in a fairing. The four round speakers or the two 6x9s make it look to cluttered in my opinion.

Same here. I'd go with 2 6.5" speakers. You'll get great sound and the fairing will look like it isn't "all speakers".

I prefer 2 6.5". They sound as good as anything is going to.

I agree with the others on the two 6 1/2" speakers, it does leave more room to add gauges and/or switches in the future if you decide too.

I've got the 2 6.5" speakers and use Rockford Fosgate P1653 speakers with JVC KD-HDR60 AM/FM/HD/CD/USB stereo. I have had no problems hearing the stereo at highway speeds. It also gives a more balanced look to the fairing.

I just ordered mine today and got the 2 6.5" speakers. I think it looks alot less cluttered.
I can't wait to get it so I can paint it Cactusjacks favourite colours!! Jack, this ones for you ....a Royal blue and Pearl Whiet bike with Orange pinstripe!! I'm trying to figure out a way that I can get a ghost image of thunder on the side of the bags too! |

I used the Rockford Fosgate Prime R1652-S 6.5-Inch speakers and the Sony Cdx-m60ui. I have no problem hearing it at higway speeds either. I don't have too many miles on it yet, but like it so far.

Against the popular choice, here is a picture of my four 5" speakers. I think they look great.

My fairing is actually a Hoppe Industries, but it looks almost exactly the same as the Reckless. Here is a link to the speakers on Reckless's site. I can't remember the brand, but they are awesome. One of the speaker's chrome started to flake and when I contacted the company, they send me a complete new set at no charge.

I agree with Utah, I slide toward the 4 look.
