Virginia and/or West Virginia

Planning on going to west side of Virginia and/or West Virginia next year. Anyone live in or around the area or have been there on rides with advice on places to stay and must ride roads?

Ive been there a couple times, and Elkins West Virginia is close to some fantastic roads, its hard to find a bad one. We stayed at the Super 8 in Elkins, and it was pretty good.

There are plenty of nice roads and beautiful scenery anywhere you go in Va or WV. If you get to the area, you'll need to check out areas like Greenbank, Cass, Elkins, Paint Bank. Just about anywhere you choose will be scenic. Good Luck and enjoy.

When you head back, you have to go east up 250 from Monetary VA to Stanton, VA. It is the best ride over the mountains.

I haven’t made it to West Virginia yet, but I’ve heard amazing things about it! The New River Gorge area seems to be a must-visit, especially with those breathtaking views and the Gorge Bridge nearby. I’m all about finding cozy places to stay, so I’d suggest looking for cabins or small inns near the state parks—they often have such a nice atmosphere. If you're into scenic rides, I’ve seen the Highland Scenic Highway mentioned a lot; it sounds like a fantastic way to soak in the scenery!
