02 Nomad 1500 Tires

Does it seem to be getting more difficult to find tires? I've checked all the major sites and the main issue seems to be with the rear. Both front and rear are 150/80-16. I'm looking for whitewalls. Brand is not a key issue, but I prefer traction over mileage. I read where some were varying sizes to insure fit and increase load.

What do you have on your's and where are you buying them? What brands do you prefer?

budget ! Shinko 777 hds . chapperal motorsports or rocky mountain atv . expensive ! metzlers

I used Maxxis M6011 WW's. Stick like shit to a blanket.

I use white walls as well. I switched to shinkos a few years ago and am pretty happy with them. I think my front tire is a 130mm width. 777 Series

Gorgeous bike!

I'm leaning toward Shinko. At least they make the right size, just not from the same dealer.

I went from 150's to 130's both ends. Much better handling, on winding, English country lanes.

Seems like you Americans, get more miles out of you tyres, than then rest of us. A couple of reasons for that i reckon. 1, being.You have to trailer your bikes to find a decent road. 2. When you get there, Y'all

ride in straight lines anyway, on throttle control too.. The other being, your tyres are made out of a much harder compund. Just watch how, on your TV, they squeal on the dirt & grass. Comical asf.

I run the shinkos 777s. They work great. I just got back from a three day ride in the rain.

You have forgotten to mention the roads in the U.K are like a plate of spaghetti and never go in a straight line. It's no wonder your tires don't last.

They should last longer then as you are using ALL of the tread not just the chicken strip in the middle. 😃
