Supply and Install Tires
Hello. Is there anyone in the states of Wash., Idaho, Mont. that knows of a dealer that I could buy tires for my Voyager, while on a trip? I would prefer a shop that is in the northern part of the state. Also, I'm looking at installing the Avon tires as I had them on the Nomad 1600 I had before this ride.
Thanks John 😉

How about Michelin Commander II's. I think they are cheaper and possibly higher mileage.
I had Cobras on my Nomad and have Commanders on my Voyager. |

Call ahead and order them so they are in stock when you arrive a few days later, most dealers can get tires in within two days.

I wouldn't just drop in, there's no guarantee they will help you. Call ahead and set it up in advance.

We do have members in Washington, Idaho and Montana. Give it a little time and I'm sure they will reply.

I can help you in the southern part of the state of Washington. Pro caliber Motorsports in Longview or Vancouver. When you call make sure you know the price you can get online. Mention it and the website and they will get as close as they can. You have to make a separate appointment with the service department to have them mounted. It is generally $55 per tire if it is still on the bike.
Let me know when you plan to be there and I will try to meet up with you to hang out while the work is being done. There is good eating places near both. You will find lots of options in Seattle, Spokane, Boise, and probably a few in Missoula, Kalispell, Coeur d'Alene, Kennewick as well. But I don't have any first hand experience with them. Kris (Netnorske) can probably help you in the Seattle/Everett area.

Address: 1200 Charleston Beach Rd W, Bremerton, WA 98312 Phone:(360) 377-5568 Great staff and the prices aren't too bad. Tire installation if you buy from Cliff's is $70/wheel. If you provide the rubber it is $85/wheel. I just replaced my OEM tires with MC IIs and was able to save >$60 even after taking the hit for $85 installation. I shopped at JakeWilson.com. I don't know if you can do that well on Avon's but it may be worth a try if you have the time. Just arrange with Cliff's to accept a drop ship. Time wise plan on most of a morning. The back wheel requires a fair amount of disassembly. The front is fairly straight forward. If you decide to come this way let me know and I'll try to give you a hand with any problems you may run into. Good luck. Ed

John,
You could try Fast Toys who are the Kawasaki dealer in Kalispell if you're going that way. http://www.fastoysracing.com/ A couple of years ago on a trip down to Idaho, I called them a day or two in advance and they ordered in a tire for me (nothing special, just the Bridgestone Exedra) for the back. Service was good and they had me in and out in about an hour and a half. Their policy at that time was that there was no charge for the labor if you bought the tire from them which I thought was really fair. Based on their inventory it looks like they don't do a lot of business in cruisers, more in dirt bikes, ATV's and sleds, but they were able to handle what I needed very competently. Hope this helps.
