Grasshopper Backrest Review/ Passenger

Hi...I am Jon's wife Kim. Thought some of the other wives might like a passenger opinion about the backrest. We took a 70 mile ride today and I loved it.

First of all, Lonnie's design is so cool...it matches the bike's overall look and mimics the shape of the stock backrest. No aftermarket look here!

Not only is it good to look at, but any fear that it would "cramp" my space is totally unfounded. I was worried that it might rub or hurt my legs during the ride, but the only part of the backrest that touches the passenger is padded. This design has the metal support in the middle of the backrest...which never touches the passenger.

My only suggestion to Lonnie, would be to put a little more padding on the top arched edge (the part that touches the passenger) so the ride would be even more comfortable.

Overall I give it a total thumbs up...it is a sleek and efficient design that makes the bike look and feel better to ride.

Thanks for entertaining my Jon for hours He loves his KawaNOW buddies. Looking forward to meeting you all at a future rally.

Kim

Thanks Kim....that is the exact concern that my wife has had about a backrest for me. We promise not to corrupt Jon too bad.
