1500 licence plate relocation.

I wanted to relocate the licence plate and thought back to my days in TX and remembered the inspection plate that I had and decided to move the plate under the turn signals. bought a chrome plate from ebay. drilled three holes, two for the bolts and one to run the wiring from the signals. bought some spacers to clear the angle of the fender. I decided to go with at led plate frame from cyclegear that gave me the plate lights I needed and extra turn and stop leds. it was a lot of extra wiring I could have gone with some plate bolt white leds that would have been easier but I wanted more lights

thought someone might want another choice for the plate.

Looks great. I've been using that same frame from cycle gear for over a year now and love it! I have mine mounted lay-down style in the stock location on top of a grifter storage box; cool to see another custom option.

Looks good! Heck of a lot better than the stock location. You can pick up a couple of little allen head socket screws from the hardware store to plug the old holes.

Haven't decided yet. if I don't find a good addition I will just paint some bolt to match. but I'm sure I'll find something I like to add. may go with a gator tail to match the seats

You could get a tail bib and mount it so it covers the holes. I know it works cause i did it when my plate was relocated to the back of the left saddlebag.

I did a similar move with my plate. I took small flatstock and ran it from the existing mounting bolts for the turn signal bracket down to the mounting holes of the original tag backing plate. The rear fender chrome holds it at the bottom.
I bought the LED license plate bolts and ran the wiring through the existing holes for the turn signals and tail light in the fender.
As Vulcan Bill mentioned, I hope to find enough time to make a tail bib for it.

Awesome job! I didn't care for the lay down plate idea. I noticed on my 2007 that there are two screws centered on the bottom of the turnsignal bar, so I'm going to fab a bracket to mount to that.

That's one of those trick 007 Agent plates where if you got a marker you can change the numba's as fast as you can write
