Coil Question
I can't believe I even need to ask this, but the coils on my bike are not marker (+) or (-) nuthin' :(" title="" border="0"/>
Both coils share what seems to be the hot wire as red/green. The (-) side is what the new tach wants to be on which is standard, but i can't be sure myself! I am some upset not seeing any markings. What the ground side is on coil 1 is black and on coil 2 is black with green, bith going to the ecu. I am not going to switch the key on till somethat has, or did a tach can check. I have other ways to tell, but I am burning day light.

Coil Question
Well I did some testing and read the parking lamps come on from that same wire. This tiny print all in black and white is just a killer to see.
The tach wore still isn't hooked up, but the rest of the wires are and the tach jumps like the speedo. when you flip the key on. For now i wired the tach light to be on when the parking lamps are on too. I suspect I am correct, but will wait a while more.

Coil Question
Krash it's this one
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DRIFT...item230671fe21 Plain Jane but that;s who I am. No pics yet, but there will be. I can say a few things about the install now, and my particular problem was due to a self doubt pretty much. I was really expeting the coil to ne marked (+) and (-) like any other blooming coil. The number 1 coil has the (-) terminal outter most, but I couldn't see any marking. Wouldn't matter any way since I needed the tank off to run wire anyway. I mounted the tach to the windscreen. I had to make a same V type braket of alloy, rather than the glass hard chome V bracket that comes with which I shattered trying to bend it. That v braket will not bend with out heat, and that much heat will toast off the chrome. The tach has 4 wires. Black is ground, Green is the tack wire, red and blue i teamed up and picked off a running lamp for now, but may switch the tach ligkt later sometime. The friggin coil has a black wire which IS (-) With a jumper flat blade connector crimoped on a black wire, then heat shrinked, I put that directly on the coil and then stacked the bikes black coil wire on it. If you want a braket like mine you pretty much copy the one that comes with it, and then bend it, so it comes off the top of the tach. The mounting hole in the steel v bracket is too big for the windshild anyway That end goes down, so looking at my v bracket it is radius bent over a 3/4 inch clevis pin. I know this is useless with out pictures.... But there will be at my first chance. The only other thing is the 2 nuts that hold the tack in it's can I removed and put the can hard up on the v bracket. I didn't, nor will I use the handle bar clamp. so if someone wants it they can have for the asking.

Coil Question
Thanks Mac good info as always, look forward to the pics. That is also one of the tachs I have on my Ebay watch list. Its an hour ride from here to any good MC shop so I have to do most of my shopping online.
