Headlight and Lightbar Won't Come On.

I recently purchased a dressed out 09 Nomad. Love it, except the darn light bar and headlight's not working. Won't even come on. All other lights work perfectly. Possibilities? Thanks!

Blown fuse?

My guess is whoever installed the light bar wired it to the headlight circuit. A big "no no", because that draws more current than the circuit can handle.

Ideally, the lightbar should have its own dedicated circuit, and a relay should be used to control the power to the lightbar with the ignition switch.

The first thing I would check is the switch on the bar itself. If it is a Cobra lightbar there is an on/off switch. Good place to start.
Also the bike needs to be running or usually the start button needs to be pressed momentarily for the lights to come on.

Thanks, I think thats it too. No relay. Guess I'll have it rewired via the relay switch.

The first thing you would do is take it to your dealer and let them figure it out. C'mon TC - who are you trying to kid?

Hey, I installed my own lightbar and also put one, actually two, on Cindy's bike. They even work like they are supposed to.

Oh I didn't remember a special discussion group had been formed, as to how
this was going to get done.
Was there any photos that came out of the session?

So, the issue was the lack of a relay for the light bar. Issue has been repaired, everything's working great. Thanks all for the advice, and entertaining comments!
