I wonder how many more companies will try to revive this dead brand? I'll give Polaris five years before they cut their loses. Especially it they are over priced like previous one.

I'd really love to see them make it, but I agree with Dave, I don't think there is enough of a market to sustain a bike like that at the prices they charge.
If I had tons of extra cash, I'd order one in a heartbeat, but I don't think they really sell that many.

From what I have read these new Indians are not going to be anywhere near the price of the old ones.
It is Polaris, they make the Victory. I'm guessing the Indian will be $3500 more than the top of the line Vic. Oh, and that sound bite sounded just like my debaffled Nomad

The new CEO, and the old Polaris CEO are pretty bright. My guess is they will make smart decisions about the new Indian, but we will see.

The good thing is with the Indians was that if you spent the money you could get a really beautiful bike built for yourself. They had some very nice color combos and a lot of choices in dressing the bike.

The new motor will be unveiled in Daytona (sometime in March?) and the bikes are said to be ready later this year, cannot wait to see them in person.

That engine sounds awesome! I have always loved the classic look of the Indian Chief, and am very excited to see what Polaris comes up with. The fact that Victory is designing and building the new engines is very "Schwing-Worthy"! Watching that long video...I was hoping someone in the crowd would ask the dying question that I have, which is....do they plan to build a full touring model, with a tour pack for two-up long distance cruising? They would probably have to include a hard-bag edition in order to accomplish that. Indians have pretty much always been solo bikes by look and design with those cool leather bags, but with the success of the HD Ultra-Classic, surely Polaris is smart enough to know that a huge part of their potential customer base will want something similar..at least I HOPE they are if they intend to stick around.
If they do make a full touring model (the only one I would even be interested in)...obviously it will be the "high-end" model the fellow was talking about when mentioning the price ranges for the differing models of the new Indians. I will be curious as to how many dealerships they can line up to sell and service these new creations. It will be very interesting when they come out later this year...and a trip to the International Motorcycle show will be in order, something I skipped this last go around. I wish them all the success in the world...!
