Ultimate Baffles

All,

I keep getting PM's from time to time asking about UB's. I'm sorry that I can no longer be a source for these, but here is my standard response as well as my suggestion to those seeking them:

I'm sorry but I can't accomodate you. I had a customer/friend make the first batch in his off time as a favor to me. He underestimated the material cost and time involved, and let me know that "if" he ever made them again the price was going up. I sold all 12, and based on all the continued interest I asked him to make another batch. He did, but they were $100 per pair. I sold 5 pairs, and got stuck with the rest as people simply didn't respond to my emails. I was out the $700 as I had to pay upfront. I managed to sell the rest over the next several months, but I'm not willing or able to have another batch made, based on "fool me once..." Believe it or not $700 is a lot of money to me. My customer won't do less than 10, because the cost is in the set up and labor. Several members have asked permission to take over making the baffles and I've said yes to EVERYONE! I don't own the rights, I just had the abaility to get some made.

To those who want UB's I suggest starting a thread to let everyone know people are still interested and looking. I'm sure for the right price, someone can get them produced. Good Luck, Jeff

Ultimate Baffles

And if you do find somebody willing to make them, or want to take on the project yourself, both "vulcane" (Cliff) and I have the original drawings which have been posted many times.

Just let one of us know if you need a copy.

Ultimate Baffles

I'm picking up A vtx 1300 for the better half this weekend.
yes I know it's not a nomad but thats what she wants to upgrade to.

It as the V&H long shots on it right now and the original owner has removed the baffles. We get the baffles with it and will probably put them back in.

All this said, I might do up a set of UB to fit these long shots to see how they sound

I just love those UB.

Will let you guys know how this goes.
