Trunk
I would like to put a trunk on my '07 Nomad, as I had one on my Suzuki C50. The ones that I am looking at, the cheap plastic ones on EBay, have the lock on that back and the hinge on the front, when on the bike. My wife likes the Nomad backrest, so I am thinking about moving the hinge to one side and the lock/latch on the other side, like the Harley TorPak. Has anyone done that? I can handle most any fabrication needed.

Save yourself the effort and get a Tour Pak, they can't be beat in terms of size and durability.

Somebody needs to start making the new Voyager replica fairings, maybe they would look good on 1500/1600 Nomads, then not look like a HD Ultra.

I don't mind lookin like an Ultra at way less cost! And I know - Harley's don't cost that much ( anymore) - when I bought mine the Harley Ultra was $34675.00 Cdn and I paid $18,000.00 Cdn for my Nomad c/w the Premuix fairing / radio / lowers & trunk. The Classic which is kinda the closest to mine was $28,000.00 Cdn except I had lowers / rear speakers & trunk rack which it doesn't.

I had a Susuki Volusia before the 06 Nomad and mounted the same Harley Tourpak on both bikes fabricating my own trunk racks to do that. I did a lot of research and checking other folks trunk mounts and trunks. There are some pretty good trunk options available other than HD but few include leaving the stock passenger backrest on. Delivery58s looks good. I don't think it's good to have too much weight too far back on the existing sissybar rack. If you can fabricate and get that far, PM me and I will send you a cardboard template and instructions for a trunk rack that you can use, change or burn as you wish.

Thanks. Great info. Guess I'll not be buying the cheapo trunk. I'll look for a Tour Pak or Scootworks III style...used. :)
