Enough Already
Just getting used to finding things and now we get to start again. Why is the NMR crap at the start. Seems like the garage and the reason for the forum should lead the way.
And PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ALLAH, GET RID OF THE GREEN TYPE. Thank you for your time.

Some forums were moved around, but they're all still there...just organized a bit more. It'll be more 'streamlined' now.
We could move the Techinical :: Maintenance :: Performance section to the top, just thought it would make more sense having the "Member Intros" and "Support" forum up top for new members to see first. I could go either way with that though. Either way, really not that big of a deal...relax killa! |

I hate change but it's something I'll get used to. As long as it doesn't change on a regular basis, I'm good.

Charlie I couldn't make out the word or words you wrote in green. My eyes are getting too old to distinguish some colors I guess.
I think the new member section should sit on the very top. Just my thought. We have enough people that don't join. Now we might have even less since it isn't at the very top or first thing they will see. |

If you can't make out the words in green (or any other color), just highlight them. (BTW, it says "green type".)

For a minute I thought my computer was going wacky with everything jumbled up.
I do think Gene has a good point, new member introductions should be at the top.

As far as the text colors go, that can be fixed, but we'd have to agree to have the two dark grey colors lightened a bit. There's really no other way, as we have to have certain text in different colors.
When I designed this forum, I made all the colors the same as the old forum so it wouldn't upset anyone with all the new changes. If everyone can agree with lightening it a bit, I have no problem making the changes. |

I don't know which software version you're using but the bigger ones (like vBulletin) have various styles users can choose from. One of the other forums I frequent (non-bike related) has 3 or 4 styles available. A couple dark ones (my faves) as well as a light version and a very "generic" version (for the old folks, I guess :) ).

Don't worry! It's all going to change again anyway... with this new name and forum address and such. So, now you'll have to get used to an even new look again. :)

Is there any way to keep the "jokes" from appearing on the "Today's Posts" page? That would be a HUGE improvement to me.

Huh? We're not changing names or addresses or anything.. I could go with offering a few different styles but it's just sooo much upkeep. Whenever something is changed or edited, I'd have to do it more than once. lol Let me think about it though, maybe I'll just do that. Either way, I think if we just went a couple shades lighter on the greys, it would make a huge improvement. |
